Ep3: Rabellion and her Magical Medicine

Hailing from Puerto Rico, Rabellion aka Tatiana Lamela-Rabell, shares how her love of music started from an early age. She was a natural poet and writer early on. It was when she heard Silvio Rodriguez’s music that she was inspired to become a musician too.

She has enjoyed a fascinating artistic evolution throughout many years. She has learned to play several instruments, and incorporates them with her vocals into original productions. Her film degree and love of film drives her musical output to create a live set can be described as a “cinematic musical journey.”

Being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia led Rabellion to question much, including her L.A. lifestyle and musical goals. Her desire to heal also inspired her interest in alternative modalities like plant medicine ceremonies and contextualized music as not just entertainment but as Sound Healing. She has lived in many places including United States, Spain, and Perú, and her love of various cultures can be heard in her dynamic sound.

She has toured globally, sharing her music with many Ecstatic Dance communities, as well as at various events and festivals.

Inspiration from this chat came from a collaboration by Rabellion and Fllow on medicine-pop song, “Met Before.”
